NIV ventilator price in India, for the Löwenstein machines we sell, runs from ₹64,000 to ₹6,25,000 plus GST. The lower end is a bilevel ST machine such as the Prisma NIV 30 ST, used with a mask and run from the mains. The upper end is a prisma VENT or the Luisa, which take an internal battery and offer more ventilator modes.
Cheapest first. Modes, pressures and battery are copied from each model's own listing; where a listing says nothing, the cell says so rather than us filling it in. Tap a model for the full page.

Prices exclude GST. We list the prisma 30ST under three catalogue entries — Prisma NIV 30 ST, Prisma 30ST and Prisma 30 ST (NIV) — at different prices. Before you pay, ask us to put the configuration of the one you are buying in writing so you can compare like for like.
If NIV is being started after a hospital stay and nobody yet knows how long it will be needed, renting keeps the decision open. Rent is charged per month, from ₹10,000, and a shorter stretch can be taken on the per-day rate.
Once the doctor says the machine is for the long term, set the months of rent you expect against the purchase price — the prisma 25ST, for example, sells at ₹75,000 and rents at ₹10,000 a month.

NIV is the treatment: breathing support through a nasal or full-face mask, with no tube in the airway. A BiPAP — bilevel — machine is one way to give it. It blows a higher pressure as the patient breathes in and a lower one on the way out, and the ST versions add a timed backup breath if the patient pauses. The prisma 25ST and the prisma 30ST are machines of this kind.
A non-invasive ventilator goes further. The prisma VENT 30-C and VENT 40 (NIV) list ventilator modes such as aPCV, PCV and PSV, AirTrap Control and trigger lockout for COPD, and an internal battery. Our prisma 25ST page puts the difference this way: the 25ST is a bilevel-ST pressure-support device, while the VENT 40 is a home ventilator for chronic respiratory failure that needs full non-invasive ventilation. If the prescription only says “NIV”, ask the doctor which of the two is meant before you buy.

Two machines can both be called “NIV” and still sit a long way apart on the price list above. These are the differences that account for most of the gap.
Every model here can give a backup breath. On the bilevel machines that comes from S/T or autoS/T — on the Prisma 30ST the listed backup rate is 5–30 bpm, and autoS/T moves the backup frequency with the patient's own rhythm. The prisma VENTs add pressure-controlled modes (aPCV, PCV) and PSV. If the prescription names a mode, check it appears in the model's listed modes before anything else.
The battery line follows the price split in the table: the bilevel machines don't list one, and every prisma VENT and the Luisa do. The prisma 25ST runs on mains only. The prisma VENTs carry an internal battery of roughly 10–12 hours depending on the model, and the Luisa reaches 18 hours with its external battery. Whether the patient needs a battery at all is a clinical question, so ask the doctor how long the patient can safely be off the machine in a power cut. The power cut guide covers UPS planning either way.
The prisma 30ST listings offer a target volume of 300–2000 ml in autoS/T, and two of them carry SCOPES presets for COPD and hypoventilation. The prisma VENT 30-C and VENT 40 list AirTrap Control, trigger lockout and an expiratory ramp, which the listings describe for COPD. The doctor will say whether the patient needs them.
Mask NIV is commonly set up on a single-limb circuit that breathes out through a leak port; some patients are prescribed a circuit with an exhalation valve instead, and the two are not interchangeable. Of our listings, only the Luisa spells out single- and double-limb circuits with active or passive exhalation; the prisma VENT 40 (NIV) lists most 15–22 mm hoses, heated or not, and the VENT 50 lists leak compensation in autoS/T. If the prescription names a circuit, send it to us and we will confirm the match before quoting.
Most of the range lists prisma CLOUD, so the doctor can review therapy data from the clinic; the Luisa lists Bluetooth and cloud sharing. Masks are fitted at setup — the NIV at home guide explains nasal versus full-face masks.
We can't give you a hospital's rate, and any single figure quoted online is unlikely to match your bill. Hospitals usually add NIV as a daily equipment charge, and what sits inside it varies: some include the mask, circuit and filters, others bill them as consumables, and oxygen may be a separate line. ICU, HDU and step-down beds are each priced differently too.
The billing desk is the only reliable source. Ask for the daily NIV charge in writing, with consumables listed separately, so you can see what a longer stay will cost.
