4 Epic Ways To Sleep Better with your CPAP Machine

Getting familiar with CPAP Machines isn’t easy always. Many of us with sleep disorders will regret the first time we are trying a CPAP mask.

  •  You hate it
  •  you’ll feel hesitant about carrying the mask to sleep
  •  worry you’ll  not have a comfortable sleep position

Remember you are not alone and there are lots of tips and tricks to make it easier to adjust to your sleep apnea therapy so that you can get a quality night’s sleep.

  1.  Practice makes perfect

The first time wearing a CPAP mask can feel weird as you feel for anything else.  You have to get familiar with it or you’ll have trouble sleeping with it. Start wearing it as much earlier as bedtime, instead of putting it just before sleeping.  You can also practice wearing it even when you are sitting and relaxing.

  1.  Make sure your mask is fitted for YOU

You may find the best mask by searching online. Before you even try a CPAP mask you have to research the best mask for you. If you are not sure about the fitting of the mask it’s important to talk to your doctor or medical equipment provider about selecting your perfect mask.  Are you a side sleeper? Do you breathe through your mouth? Are a few things that need to be considered when you are selecting your mask.

  1.   Use your CPAP mask every time you sleep

This is the main point to be considered when you are getting accommodated to the new sleep apnea therapy. You have to make sure that you use it every night and even for the naps too. You may feel a bit uncomfortable at first. Get yourself in a routine right away by putting it on as soon as you get finished with another routine.  Keep in mind that it’s important to avoid naps. This, in turn, makes falling asleep easier to do while you’re getting used to your new equipment. The more tired you are, the faster you’ll sleep with CPAP

  1.  Use a CPAP humidifier if your nose or throat is dry

It is very important to keep your nose and throat moist during the treatment. If your room is lacking moisture the air pressure can and will make it drier than what you’re used to.  Best Humidity is essential for the success of CPAP therapy. The right amount of humidity for your body helps you to be comfortable and helps you keep your throat and mouthless dry
